We’re hosting FREE mental health training courses during September and October 2025.
The courses are being run by Mid Kent Mind and take place in person and online. They are aimed at those who work or volunteer with vulnerable people, but anyone who lives in Kent or Medway can attend.
Adult Suicide Prevention Training
During this course, you will learn more about the mental health drivers that can cause suicidal thoughts and how to recognise the signs that someone may be feeling suicidal early on.

Youth Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Training
During the session, you will learn more about the factors which might affect a young person’s mental health, including stress and how to help them manage this. You will explore which groups are at greater risk of taking their own life and the relationship between Adverse Childhood Experiences, self-harm and suicide.

Everyday Mental Health Training
This course is suitable for anyone in the Sevenoaks District to better manage their own mental health and wellbeing, and that of others who they either support, care for, or encounter.
