Compliance tests for taxis (hackney carriage and private hire vehicles) are carried out at our MOT station in Sundridge, near Sevenoaks.
The test is an inspection to make sure each vehicle is in good mechanical order and complies with Sevenoaks District Council’s Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Policy. When a taxi vehicle has a compliance test, the approved garage will also carry out an MOT.
When booking a test, you are accepting our terms and conditions.
If the vehicle’s licence has been suspended, please call us on 01732 227000 to book your test.
If you need to amend or cancel a booking, please call 01732 227000 at least one full working day before the test. Failure to do so will result in the appointment being missed and you will still be charged.
On the day
Please arrive at your allocated appointment time. If you arrive late you may lose your appointment.
Ensure the vehicle is clean, both inside and out, roadworthy and has plenty of fuel, oil and water.
Further testing
If your vehicle fails to meet the required standards, and a re-inspection is necessary, a further fee may be charged.
