Local Authority Building Control (LABC) represents all the local authority building control teams in England and Wales. As a member, we work with building owners, homeowners, architects, plan drawers, developers, building contractors and other professionals to ensure buildings are safe, healthy and efficient and meet building regulation standards.
We ensure these standards are met through plan assessments and site inspections carried out by our building control surveyors, who all have a thorough knowledge of the building regulations, local conditions and relevant British standards, codes of practice and guidance.
When a building is completed satisfactorily, we will issue a completion certificate to the homeowner/developer to confirm the works carried out met the building regulations standards and were regularly inspected by us.
