Name the food waste truck school competition

Terms and conditions

  1. The competition is open to all primary school pupils who attend school in the Sevenoaks District.
  2. Each school class may submit one entry. If a class submits more than one entry, only the first will be accepted.
  3. Entries must be submitted via a schoolteacher using the Council's website form (insert link when known)
  4. By entering the competition, the school is giving permission for the class to enter the competition
  5. The winning class name and the school will be used on promotional material in relation to the Council's 'name the food waste truck' campaign.
  6. The winning names will be added to the front of a food waste collection vehicle. The name of the winners school and class will not be included.
  7. The prizes are awarded conditionally upon acceptance. If the winner is unable to be contacted after 20 days or if any prize is unclaimed or declined after 20 days, the prize shall be deemed as unclaimed or unaccepted
  8. Incomplete entries and entries received after the competition closing date will not be accepted.
  9. Entries not complying with the terms and conditions will be invalid.
  10. Entrant’s data will be collected, stored and processed for the purposes of administering and assessing this competition. 
  11. Entries will be considered by a panel of Sevenoaks District Council Councillors and staff against the judging criteria. Winner decisions are final. Sevenoaks District Council reserve the right to suspend, postpone, cancel or amend the competition and / or review and revise these terms and conditions.

The competition will be judged again the following criteria:

 

  • Environmentally focused
  • Amusement or fun factor
  • Play on words
  • Thought-provoking
