Hello Lamp Post - community conversation project

We are working with Hello Lamp Post on an exciting project to give Swanley residents a new way to have their say about where they live and to find out about local information.

Hello Lamp Post is an an artificial intelligence (AI) powered chatbot service that gives you the chance to start a conversation with an everyday object such as a fence, lamppost or public building.

To start a conversation, simply scan the QR code or send a text message using the details on one of the nine Hello Lamp Post signs fixed to the objects around Swanley.

The conversations will give you an opportunity to share your thoughts, concerns and feelings about the area as well as the chance to find out about local information and events, volunteering opportunities, advice on the cost of living and more.

Any information you provide will be used by us and our partners to help improve the area.

The service is completely free and there’s no need to download an app or to fill out a registration form. The service works with smartphones and basic mobile phones.

All conversations are anonymous and no personal information is recorded or held.

You can find the signs at:

  • Swanley Park - on the fence by the paddling pool, on the wall inside the café and inside the barn soft play area
  • Swanley Skate Park - two signs on the lamp posts near the entrance
  • Swanley train station –in the waiting rooms and on the crossover

Hello Lamp Post is supported by Swanley Town Council and Southeastern.
