We, alongside residents, cannot help but be moved by the situation that is unfolding. We will be doing all we can to support those leaving Afghanistan through the Government’s scheme.
We have played an active role in the UK Resettlement Programme assisting Syrian refugees. Now, alongside our partners Kent County Council, local charity Sevenoaks Welcomes Refuges, Clarion Housing Association and private landlords, we are working to identify suitable homes in locations with good access to local health, schools and support services.

We continue to play our part in refugee resettlement and we will soon welcome two further families to the District under the current UK Resettlement Scheme.
