Plant a tree for the Queen’s Green Canopy

Residents, businesses, landowners, schools and voluntary and community groups are being urged support the Queen’s Green Canopy giving people the opportunity to plant trees in memory Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.

We supported the scheme by planting trees on our land in the lead up to the Jubilee as we are looking to plant more trees in the coming year.

Trees are amazing for the environment. They take carbon out of the atmosphere, helping to tackle global warming, as well as other pollutants and are home to thousands of species of wildlife.

The tree planting season is October to April and planting a tree is easy. Once they’re in the ground, they need very little attention.

However, it's important to choose the right tree for the right location. You can find out more on the Queen’s Green Canopy and Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) websites.
