Christmas tree collections

Update Monday 4 January 2021: we are sorry but we are not currently collecting Christmas trees. With three times more household waste put out than usual and COVID-19 related staff absence, we are currently focusing our resources on household waste collections. Sorry for the inconvenience.

From Monday 11 to Friday 29 January 2021, we can collect your real Christmas tree for free with our Garden Waste Collection Service that will visit your road once a fortnight.

All the trees we collect are turned into environmentally friendly compost.

Please remove all decorations, stands and pots and put your tree out by your property boundary, and visible from the road, by 6.30am on the day our Garden Waste Collection Service visits your road.

You do not need to be subscribed to our Garden Waste Collection Service to take advantage of this offer.

If your tree has a trunk more than 89mm (3.5" in diameter) we cannot collect it. Instead, you can take it to one of Kent County Council's Household Recycling Centres - you will need to book a slot before you travel.
