Waste, recycling and food waste bins are provided by us for most residential properties. Residents are responsible for maintaining and looking after them. For new-build properties and rented accommodation, bins should normally be provided by the developer or landlord.

If we've delivered wheelie bins to your neighbours but you have not yet received yours, please wait 24 hours before reporting a missed wheelie bin delivery, as our crews may still be working in your area.

Request a replacement food waste bin or wheelie bin
Use our form to replace a damaged, missing or lost food waste bin or wheelie bin or to request a new one. You can also use this form if you've recently moved to the District and don't have bins at your property.
Please note that we do not replace dirty bins. It is your responsibility to keep your bins clean.

If we are collecting a damaged bin, please make sure you leave it somewhere our crew can see it.
You can put household waste out for collection in black sacks while you are waiting for a replacement bin.
Dry recycling can be put out for collection, provided it is contained in a cardboard box .
Food waste cannot be put out for collection while you are waiting for a replacement bin.
Request additional or smaller bins
If you produce a lot of food waste, you can order an additional outdoor food waste bin.
If you live in a large household or have specific medical needs and require more bin capacity, you can request additional recycling or general waste bins from 12 October 2026.
We do not automatically provide additional waste bins on request. You may need to demonstrate that you recycle as much as possible and regularly separate your food waste before additional capacity is approved.
From 12 October 2026, you can also request smaller wheelie bins. Smaller wheelie bins are only provided in limited circumstances. Please be aware there is only a small difference in size between the smaller bins and our standard bins.

Clear sacks
If your property receives sack collections, you should receive two rolls of 30 Clear Recycling Sacks once a year.
Complete our form if you have not received a delivery of Clear Recycling Sacks in the past year. You can also use this form if you've recently moved to the District and need an initial supply.
