We are seeking permission for a new residential scheme on the site of the old White Oak Leisure Centre off Hilda May Avenue, Swanley.
Following the approval of outline planning permission, we have now applied for detailed permission for 60 high quality homes: 15 three-bedroom town houses with gardens and 45 one and two-bedroom flats.
All homes would have a car parking space along with visitor parking and secure cycle storage.
The scheme would be environmentally efficient with solar panels, air source heat pumps and would be insulated to high standards. To further support the environment, a substantial shared community garden is proposed at the heart of the site. Mature trees would be kept, screening the site from neighbouring properties, along with new trees, soft landscaping, green corridors to enhance biodiversity and a green roof.
The scheme maintains the public pathway across the site to the north from Hilda May Avenue to Pear Tree Close.
It has been our long-held ambition to develop the old White Oak Leisure Centre site not only to provide new homes, but to pay towards the cost of the new £22 million Leisure Centre that opened in 2022.
