Rehoming your dog
If you can no longer care for your dog, our Animal Control Service cannot rehome your dog, but can offer advice about rehoming.
In exceptional circumstances we may be able to accept your dog as a gift and undertake to rehome it, and all reasonable steps will be taken to ensure the new home is long lasting; however, there may be a charge for this service. No dog will go for animal research and all contacts will be subject to home checks before being released by our charity contacts.
Dangerous or vicious dogs
The police should be contacted if a dog is "dangerously" out of control. Attacks on Assistance dogs are a criminal matter and should also be reported to the police.
For other dog related issues, such as dogs being out of control (but not dangerous), please contact the Animal Control Service.
