Reporting a problem out of hours

We operate an out of hours service to report noise nuisances on Fridays and Saturdays between 6pm and midnight.

The service deals with urgent ongoing nuisance incidents and complaints under investigation.

If you are suffering from a noise nuisance outside of these hours, you can download the Noise App which is available for free on Google Play and from the Apple App Store.

Once you have made a recording, you should contact us the next working day to log your complaint.

Using the Noise App

Please follow the following steps:

Step 1 - Download the app from or search online for ‘The Noise App’ on Google Play or the Apple App Store

Step 2 - Create your account and choose the Service Provider ‘Dartford and Sevenoaks EH’ to investigate your noise nuisance reports

Step 3 - To report a nuisance, simply tap the icon, make a 30-second recording of the noise, complete a form and submit your report online. To speed up our analysis, please make a maximum of three recordings per noise event.

Step 4 - We will review your case and any recordings you have made after three weeks. We will not contact you each time a recording is uploaded.

Step 5 - After three weeks, we will review and assess the information you have provided. Your case officer will determine what action (if any) can be taken.

Step 6 - Once we have finished our investigation. We will not analyse further reports unless you discuss this with the Environmental Health Team.
