Early start for waste collections during the heatwave

Sevenoaks District Council’s free Family Fun Days are in full swing and are proving to be popular as ever!

Many families came to the Sevenoaks Fun Day on Tuesday 4 August 2026 at the Greatness Recreation Ground.

Free activities included a bouncy castle, arts, crafts, sports, games and more. Kent Police were also on hand to offer free bike marking and Sevenoaks Town Council gave visitors an extra treat by bringing in a reptile stand that included snakes and lizards.

Sevenoaks District Council’s Cabinet Member for People and Places, Cllr Lesley Dyball, says: “Our free Family Fun Days have been a huge success so far, with families coming together to socialise and have fun in a safe and friendly environment.

“I’d like to thank everyone who came along to our Sevenoaks event, I’m looking forward to the next few weeks of free family fun!”

The events are funded and organised by Sevenoaks District Council and run by Play Place with support from town and parish councils, who are providing the venues.
