Sevenoaks District Council’s popular Family Fun Days return with four weeks of free fun and games over school summer break.
They include everything from arts and crafts to competitions and sports and are aimed at children aged 12 and under, but they may not be suitable for very young children.
Some locations also offer free bike marking from Kent Police.
No booking is necessary as families can simply turn up and have fun. However, children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
Residents are encouraged to bring waterproofs if it rains and sunscreen and other sun protection if it’s warm. Refreshments can be purchased at some locations.
The days are subject to the weather, so residents are advised to keep an eye on the Council’s website www.sevenoaks.gov.uk/familyfundays or its Facebook account before setting off.
Cllr Lesley Dyball, the Council’s Cabinet Member for People and Places, says:
“Family Fun Days are always such a great way to entertain the kids over the summer holidays, and best of all they are completely free!
“They are the perfect place for children under 12 to take part in fun and social activities, all in a safe and friendly environment.
“If the weather is nice, we recommend bringing a picnic too.”
The days are funded and organised by Sevenoaks District Council, run by Play Place and supported by town and parish councils who are providing the venues.
