Residents are invited to a free festival at Bradbourne Lakes in Sevenoaks, on Saturday 11 July 2026 from 12.30pm to 4.30pm.
The afternoon will feature a wide range of activities including a bouncy castle, inflatable bowling, crafts with the South-East River Trust and a magician, plus stands from West Kent Mind and the Crowborough Model Boat Club.
Visitors can also attend history talks by Jonathan Fenner and take part in a ‘Build your own raft’ workshop, but these must be booked in advance.
There will also be an opportunity to find out more about the latest plans to restore the lakes as part of the £2.1 million ‘Bradbourne Re-Bourne’ project.
Sevenoaks District Council’s Cabinet Member for Cleaner and Greener, Cllr Irene Roy, says: “Last year’s Bradbourne Summer Festival was such a success, we’re delighted to bring it back again this year.
“It’s the perfect family day out, and best of all, it’s completely free! It’s also a great opportunity to get the latest information on the next steps for the lakes’ restoration.
“Ice cream and pizza vans will be available if you’d like to buy lunch, or you’re very welcome to bring a picnic with you.”
