Free Tea Dances!

Published: Monday, 30th September 2024

Residents can enjoy afternoons of dancing, music and socialising at free tea dances this autumn.

Sevenoaks District Council is putting on the events as part of its ‘Silver Sunday’ celebrations.

The tea dances will play songs both old and new with a free light lunch available, including hot drinks and cakes.

The dances are taking place from 1.30pm to 3.30pm on:

  • Wednesday 16 October at West Kingsdown Village Hall
  • Thursday 7 November at Hextable Village Hall
  • Tuesday 19 November at Eynsford Village Hall
  • Friday 22 November at New Ash Green Village Centre

Places are limited and should be booked in advance by visiting www.sevenoaks.gov.uk/teadance or calling Sevenoaks District Council on 01732 227000.

Carers and family members are welcome, and all venues are accessible for disabled people.

Cllr Lesley Dyball, the Council’s Cabinet Member for People and Places, says: “This is a great opportunity to take to the dance floor whilst having fun and meeting new people.

“We’re really excited to provide these free events that improve the health and wellbeing of our residents. Places are limited so I’d urge anyone interested to book their space as soon as possible.”
