Sevenoaks District Council’s housing company, Quercus Housing, is once again providing affordable homes to the community.

Quercus Housing has purchased 17 new flats to be rented as affordable homes at the 27-29 High Street development in Swanley.

11 properties have been offered to local essential workers and those with a housing need. The Local Authority Housing Fund is supporting a further 6 homes for Ukrainian families currently living in host properties in the District.

In the past four years, Quercus Housing has invested in the provision of 41 new affordable homes in the Sevenoaks District, including Gladedale House in Westerham and Elizabeth House in Swanley.

Cabinet Member for Housing and Health, Cllr Perry Cole says: “Providing and investing in affordable housing is a top priority for the Council and we’re really pleased to offer tenancies to essential workers with a local connection to the Sevenoaks District and Ukrainian guests.

“The flats are conveniently located above the new Meeting Point business hub on Swanley High Street and tenancies are likely to start from mid-July.”
