Last night (Tuesday 7 June 2022), local singers came together in an amazing musical celebration of The Queen’s Jubilee at The Big Community Sing.

Choirs, quartets, a school and singing groups of all ages and genres took part in the musical extravaganza at the Stag.

Seven musical groups performed in front of an enthusiastic audience. They included the Dunton Green Primary School Choir and ‘Show of Hands’ who sang using British Sign Language.

The event ended with all the groups taking to the stage for medley of Abba songs with the audience joining in.

Chairman of Sevenoaks District Council, Cllr Avril Hunter says: “The night was a huge success and it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying themselves through music and song whilst raising lot of ‘money, money, money’ for local mental health services.

“Singing as part of a group has been proven to improve health and wellbeing and is also is a great way to get involved in the local community.
