Sevenoaks District Council CEO, Dr. Pav Ramewal, has won ‘Leader of the Year’ at the annual Investors in People Awards.
The Awards celebrate best practice amongst Investors in People accredited businesses. The winners were announced at a ceremony in London hosted by TV comedian Russell Kane last night (Tuesday 19 November 2019).
As well as Dr. Ramewal taking home the top prize, Sevenoaks District Council was also runner up in the Platinum Employer of the Year category for 2019.
Dr. Ramewal says: “I was delighted to be nominated in this esteemed category, so to win was a wonderful achievement for the Council as a whole.”
Dr. Ramewal adds: “This accolade reiterates our core value of putting people at the heart of Sevenoaks District Council. By investing in our staff, we keep the best people and that ensures we can continue to deliver the best possible services that matter to the communities we serve.”
Earlier this year, Sevenoaks District Council was the first public sector employer to be achieve the prestigious Investors in People Platinum status for the second time. The Platinum status lasts until 2022 and means the Council is part of an elite group of organisations that have been singled out as the very highest quality employers.
