From Monday 12 October 2026, we will introduce alternate weekly collections for waste and recycling in wheelie bins. To support this change, we are aligning general waste and garden waste collection weeks.
This means some garden waste customers will have a new collection week.
During September, we will write to households about their alternate weekly collection cycle. The new collection schedule will be available on this website nearer the time. Separately, we will email garden waste permit holders in late September to inform them of any changes to their garden bin collection week.
Disposable garden waste sacks
If you use garden waste sacks, collections will be suspended for one week, from 12 to 16 October. This temporary pause will help us safely implement the biggest change to our waste services in a generation. Please do not put garden waste sacks out this week as they will not be collected.
