Transport accounts for more than a third of the District’s carbon emissions. We are not the transport authority but, as part of our Net Zero 2030 commitment, we intend to work with partners like Kent County Council to support sustainable movement and travel across the District.

The Movement Strategy sets out our ambitions to make travel across the District easy, healthy, safe, low carbon and sustainable. It covers our intentions to encourage active forms of travel like walking and cycling, using public transport and reducing car usage plus lots more.

Local Walking and Cycling Infrastructure Plan
A Local Walking and Cycling Infrastructure Plan for Sevenoaks town and the surrounding areas has been completed. The plan proposes new walking and cycling routes to encourage people to move more sustainably. It will also form the basis for funding bids for improvements to walking and cycling provision.
