Housing Allocations Policy Consultation

We are reviewing our Housing Allocations Policy and we want to hear from the public, including those who are or have been on our Housing Register.

This policy sets out who can join our Housing Register and how we allocate social housing to those on the Housing Register.

Demand for social housing in our District is far higher than the number of homes we have, so we must prioritise households with the greatest need.

Our Housing Allocations Policy was last updated in 2024. We are now carrying out a full review to make sure it remains fair, effective, and responsive to the needs of our community.
