Our Housing Strategy was adopted in July 2022. It sets out our approach to address local housing needs and associated health requirements.
We are also a partner authority to the Kent & Medway Housing Strategy. The strategy describes the strategic direction for housing across Kent and Medway for the period 2025 to 2030.

Private Sector Housing Enforcement Policy - March 2021 - This policy sets out the enforcement action we can take against landlords if their property poses a danger to the health and wellbeing of their tenants. In December 2025 we assumed additional investigatory powers under the Renters’ Rights Act 2025. As such, this policy will be reviewed in 2026.
