Residents are invited to a free festival at Bradbourne Lakes in Sevenoaks, on Saturday 2 August 2025 from 12.30pm to 4.30pm.
There will be lots of activities throughout the afternoon, including bouncy castle, river crafts, a scavenger hunt and a ‘design the playground’ activity for children.
For adults, there’s a guided walk, talks by Southeast River Trust and Professor David Killingray on the history of the Lakes, and more.
There will also be an opportunity to find out the latest plans and updates on the National Lottery Heritage Fund ‘Bradbourne Re-Bourne’ £2.1 million project to improve the lakes.
The Council’s Cabinet Member for Cleaner and Greener, Cllr Irene Roy, says: “This event will be a perfect family day out, and best of all, it’s completely free!
“It’s also a great opportunity to find out more about the work that has been done so far, and the next phase of this exciting community project.
“Pizza and ice cream vans will be on hand for a bite to eat, or you can bring a picnic with you.”
