Local leisure centres host open days for the whole community

Edenbridge Leisure Centre and Sevenoaks Leisure Centre are hosting open days on Monday, May 1.

Olympic gold medallists in the Modern Pentathlon, Joe Choong MBE and Kate French MBE, will be making guest appearances at both centres.

Managed by Everyone Active in partnership with Sevenoaks District Council, the centres will be offering the local community a day of action packed and fun filled activity, all for free.

Running from 8am to 8pm, the centres will be offering a wide array of activities including Gym and Swim, Group Exercise, Feel Good Suite and Sports Hall activity taster sessions, alongside face painting and balloon modelling.

Customers will be invited to meet and greet the attending Olympians, who will be visiting Sevenoaks Leisure Centre from 10am to 11am, followed by Edenbridge Leisure Centre from 12pm to 1pm.

Activities will differ per site and customers are encouraged to download the App to book. View details of the activities.

Hasan Romel, contract manager at Everyone Active, said: “We’re incredibly excited to invite the whole community down to Edenbridge Leisure Centre and Sevenoaks Leisure Centre on Monday, 1 May. 

“We’re offering a wide range of activities, all for free. From swimming to gym sessions and racquet sports – there’s something for everyone – and with local sporting heroes in attendance too, it’s set to be a fantastic day for all!”
