During December and January, anyone with concerns about their finances, housing costs and energy bills can get face-to-face help in Swanley and Edenbridge.
The Council has joined forces with Citizens Advice and will be setting up outside Swanley Fire Station and Edenbridge Children’s Centre on specific days over the next two months to offer free, confidential assistance.
The teams will be joined by the Council’s One You service to help improve residents’ health and fitness.
No appointment is necessary and any resident with concerns is welcome to visit the friendly teams at the following locations:

Thursday 16 December 2021, 10.30am to 3pm
Outside Edenbridge Children’s Centre, High Street TN8 5AB
Thursday 13 January 2022, 10.30am to 3pm

Cllr Kevin Maskell, the Council’s Cabinet Member for Housing and Health, says: “With increasing energy prices, food bills going up and the extra costs of Christmas, we know some people are facing challenging times.
“But I would urge anyone experiencing financial difficulties, including the prospect of losing their home, to speak to us as soon as possible.
“We offer housing advice, help applying for benefits, assistance to get people back into work and more. In some instances, financial support may be available.
“Our friendly team provides a confidential service that has helped hundreds of people. If you’re facing difficulties, the sooner you contact us, the more we can help.”
