Local Plan - Issues and Options consultation

The first step to forming the new Local Plan is to ask people who live, work and relax in the Sevenoaks District for their opinions. We have tried to identify the ‘issues’ that the District will face over the next twenty years, based on the evidence we have gathered so far, and suggest ‘options’ for dealing with them. We are consulting on the high-level strategy for the future development of the District, rather than consulting on the future of individual sites, which will take place in early 2018.

The current consultation runs from 3 August until 5pm on 5 October.

Have your say

Please complete our Local Plan survey.

Everyone who takes part will be entered into a prize draw to win one of three Amazon gift cards worth £250, £150 and £50. The prize draw will be take place in October.

You can read the full Issues and Options consultation document and respond to the Technical Consultation.

In addition, we are seeking views on the protection of the district’s open spaces. We have identified the majority of the open spaces in the District which are valued by the local community and which contribute to the character of the area. Further information can be found in the Issues and Options Technical document (Objective 5) as well as viewing our interactive map.

There are also a number of supporting documents and additional information is available on ‘Which Way Westerham’ and the ‘Draft Sevenoaks Northern Masterplan’.

You can complete and return the consultation form to: planning.policy@sevenoaks.gov.uk or Planning Policy, Sevenoaks District Council, Argyle Road, Sevenoaks, TN13 1HG
