Access all areas - free event promoting local services for disabled people

You can find out about local services for disabled people at a free event in Swanley.

‘Access all areas’ is taking place at the fully accessible White Oak Leisure Centre (BR8 7BT) from 11am to 3pm on Sunday 19 February 2023.

Local groups and organisations will showcase the help, advice and information available for anyone with physical or learning disabilities or memory problems.

The event will also support anyone who cares for someone with a disability.

Organisations taking part include:

  • British Sign Language
  • Disability Assist
  • Forget-me-not cafes (dementia friendly cafes)
  • Mind
  • Macmillan Cancer Support
  • Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support Services
  • Kent Disability Football League
  • Citizens Advice
  • Kent Association for the Blind
  • Centre of Excellence for Disabled Archers in Kent
  • Kent Parents and Carers Together
  • One You (the free health improvement service)
     

 

About the event

  • Blue Badge parking bays are available close to the centre
  • There is step-free access from the car-park to the venue
  • The centre has accessible toilets
  • Hot drinks (tea/coffee) water, squash will be available
  • Non-dairy milk, vegan/gluten/dairy free sandwiches and cakes will also be available
  • Drinking water is available for service animals.
