Widhurst Farm, Halstead planning appeal

A Public Inquiry appeal for a change of use of land at Widhurst Farm, Shoreham Lane, Halstead  TN14 7BY  will be held on 12 and 13 December 2023.

The appeal was lodged by the landowner against enforcement notices served by us last year.

You can participate in the inquiry in person at our Council offices in Sevenoaks. Places at our Council offices are limited for unregistered guests and will be available on a first-come, first served basis.

Limited parking is available at our Council offices. Parking spaces are available on a first come, first served basis. Disabled parking spaces are also limited.

Long stay parking is available in the Sevenoaks Town Car Park, a five to ten minute walk to our offices.

The Public Inquiry is being run by a Government appointed Planning Inspector. The Inspector may allow questions that are relevant to the case and that do not repeat arguments already raised. Resident associations and other interested groups are advised to nominate a representative to speak for their group to avoid repeat questions.

The outcome of the appeal will be published on the Planning Inspectorate's website.
