Financial support for businesses affected by Coronavirus restrictions
Financial support is currently available for Sevenoaks District businesses impacted by Coronavirus restrictions during the following period:
- 16 February 2021 to 31 March 2021 – third national lockdown – period 2
The closing date for grant applications for this period is 31 May 2021. All mandatory grant schemes for earlier periods have now closed and we are unable to accept new applications.
From 1 April 2021 only two grant schemes are available:
- Restart Grants
- Additional Restrictions Grants (discretionary)
From 12 April, non-essential shops, personal care services, gyms, outdoor hospitality and self-contained accommodation can reopen.
The Government is delivering a range of schemes to support businesses affected by Coronavirus.
Experience Development Programme
Free support for tourism, leisure and hospitality businesses looking to rebuild and diversify in light of the Coronavirus pandemic.
NHS ‘Test and Trace’ QR code poster
Certain venues must by law display an official NHS ‘Test and Trace’ QR code poster. These include:
- Hospitality (such as pubs, bars, cafés and restaurants)
- Close contact services (including hairdressers, barbers, beauticians, tattooists, sports and massage therapists, dress fitters, tailors and fashion designers)
- Leisure and tourism
- Community centres, youth centres and village halls
The posters should be visible at all entry points so visitors who have downloaded the NHS app can use their smartphones to check-in. You should also continue to offer a way of people recording their Test and Trace details on paper if they do not have a smartphone.
If you already use a QR code system to check people in to your venue, you must instead use the official NHS Test and Trace QR code system.
