Kent Car Share
Sevenoaks District Council is now a member of Kent Car Share scheme, a free, simple initiative that enables you to register your car journey and find passengers or drivers who have a similar journey and want to car share. This scheme is open to anyone that lives or works in the District.
The scheme offers a number of benefits:
- Reduced travel costs - drivers and passengers can split the costs of travel
- Improved access - to areas which aren't accessible by public transport
- Meet new people - sharing a car is a great way to meet colleagues, friends and neighbours
- Reduced congestion - by sharing cars you can do your bit to help reduce congestion in the area
- Reduced pollution - cutting congestion will also help to reduce pollution
- Reduced Carbon Dioxide emissions - This will in turn help to reduce the development of global warming
