Big Community Fund
We have made £120,000 available for local projects under our 'Big Community Fund'. Local Councillors can bid for funds on behalf of local organisations to help make improvements to their community.
The maximum grant for any application in one Council ward is £3,000. Councillors can work with neighbouring wards to submit an application covering more than one ward for a maximum of £6,000. The total amount available in one month is £10,000.
Applications are made via local District Councillors. If you want to make an application, please contact your local District Councillor.
A panel of District Councillors evaluate all applications. They take into account the extent to which the application meets the scheme aims, value for money, how local people have been involved in shaping the proposal and local need. Successful applications need to demonstrate long-term sustainability.
