Community Response Teams

Some of the town and parish councils have a 'Community Response Team' (CRT), also known as an Emergency Committee, Group or Team. The response that can be provided by the CRTs depends on the skills, experience and training of the personnel and on the equipment at their disposal. Most CRTs have communications, welfare and resources teams trained to help in an emergency. Training for CRT volunteers will be provided by the CRT or by the District Council.

In conjunction with our partners, we have produced a template emergency plan for CRTs and guidance on using the template and these can be downloaded here:

If you would like to volunteer to help your local team, please contact your local town or parish council.
