The Sevenoaks District Community Safety Partnership is currently consulting on its draft Strategy and Action Plan for 2008 to 2011, which is based on consultation with local people, statistical crime data and data from partner agencies.
The draft plan contains over 50 actions designed to reduce crime and the fear of crime, including projects taking action to reduce burglary, vehicle crime, anti-social behaviour and domestic abuse.
According to Kent Police figures, Sevenoaks District has been the safest area in Kent since August 2006. The Action Plan aims to maintain this success.
The three main aims of the plan are to:
o Reduce and detect crime
o Reduce anti-social behaviour and fear of crime
o Strengthen community involvement
The Community Safety Partnership is keen to receive comments on the Action Plan from as many people as possible, including residents, town and parish councils, voluntary groups, young people, local businesses and voluntary organisations.
