How are we doing?
Every three months, the Community Safety Partnership monitors progress on its 2008 to 2011 strategy.
Below is a summary of the latest progress report for April 2009 - June 2009

Working together over last three months the Partnership reported the following progress up until June 2009:
- The progress in this quarter 1st April to 30th June 2009, compared to the same period last year shows a decrease in 19%. In April 2009 CCTV assisted police with 27 arrests. In May CCTV assisted with 13 arrests. In June CCTV assisted with 18 arrests.
- The use of DNA based property marking has been widely encouraged across the Sevenoaks District and is endorsed by West Kent Police
- KCC Community Wardens have passed on advice to residents and visitors regarding leaving Sat Navs and other property on display.
- The Community Domestic Abuse Programme has been really successful with an average group size of eight men with a mixture on Probation orders and men from the community. A support group has also been set up for men who have finished on the programme, but value continued support.
- The implementation of the CCCZ into Sundridge and Brasted is physically complete. This has been supported by the partnership agencies and the local community. One Distraction Burglary crime has been reported in the area during this quarter, and this is currently being investigated. The CCCZ is part of an on-going programme to implement and support Neighbourhood Watch schemes. This strategy will be used in future in other parts of the District.
- The alcohol clinics are still proving to be well attended in Sevenoaks, Otford, Edenbridge and Swanley.
- There are currently 9 PACT Panels running in the District: Brasted, Sundridge & Ide Hill, Hextable, Dunton Green, Westerham, Edenbridge, Swanley, Badgers Mount, Shoreham & Well Hill and Kemsing.
- Sevenoaks District Council consulted with 3,060 children and young people during this period in developing Young People’s Action Plan 2009.
- 8-12’s projects continue to be delivered in Swanley, Sevenoaks and New Ash Green
