Free parking for late night Christmas shoppers

News release issued on 26 November 2007

As part of the Sevenoaks festive late night shopping event, Sevenoaks District Council is suspending all its parking charges in the town.

On Friday 30 November from 6pm, drivers can park for free in any of the the Council's car parks and on-street where there would normally be charging.

Cllr Gary Williamson, Sevenoaks District Council Cabinet member with responsibility for parking, says: "The Sevenoaks late night shopping event is now a firm Christmas favourite marking the beginning of the festive period. I hope by making parking free we are contributing to a successful evening."
