Sundridge and Ide Hill residents can have their say

News release issued on 04 March 2010

Sundridge and Ide Hill residents have an opportunity to hear how the police, Sevenoaks District Council and the community are acting on local concerns and to highlight any new issues by attending a PACT workshop.

PACT stands for Partners and Community Together. PACT Panels are made up of local residents, Kent Police, Sevenoaks District Council and other agencies that work to make the area safer, and meet on a regular basis to enable residents to identify areas of concern in their community.

The Sundridge and Ide Hill PACT Panel will take place on Wednesday 31 March 2010 from 6.30pm at Sundridge Village Hall.

Cllr Elaine Bracken Sevenoaks District Council's Cabinet member with responsibility for community safety, says: "We are always looking at ways of making people feel safer, and an effective way of doing this is by working with local residents in their communities. We need our residents' input to make these meetings a success, so I would urge anyone from Sundridge and Ide Hill to come along to the PACT meeting and make us aware of their concerns."

All local residents are welcome to turn up for the meeting on the night.
