Young people will be able to once again 'jump-in' to a Swanley pool party when the popular event comes back to the town this month.
The 'Jump-in' pool party will be held at White Oak Leisure Centre, Swanley, BR8 7BT on Saturday 20 March from 6pm to 8pm, exclusively for eight to 14 year olds.
Popular artist DJ Ignition will be playing all the latest tunes, with cool lights and plenty of fun stuff in the pool, all for £5.
Tickets can be purchased in advance from White Oak Leisure Centre. Places are limited so tickets should be bought early to avoid disappointment.
Young people will have the pool completely to themselves at the event and the café at the Leisure Centre will also be open with special offers for parents and guardians who want to stay.
Cllr Pat Bosley, Sevenoaks District Council Cabinet member with responsibility for healthy living, says: "These pool parties are a fantastic way to improve fitness in a fun-filled environment and have proved a real hit. Everyone who attends them has a lot of fun, so make sure you get your ticket early to avoid disappointment!"
Val Miller, Assistant Director of Public Health at NHS West Kent, adds: "This scheme is a really fun way for children to get a taste for using the pool. Swimming is a great way to achieve 60 minutes a day moderate exercise which contributes to good health both now and in later years."
This initiative has been organised by Sevenoaks District Council in partnership with Sencio Community Leisure and is funded by NHS West Kent as part of the National Choosing Health agenda, which aims to make healthy choices easier.
