Edenbridge residents get talking

News release issued on 23 July 2010

Edenbridge residents can voice their concerns about issues in their town with local authorities and police at their next PACT meeting, taking place next month.

PACT stands for Partners and Community Together, and gives all Edenbridge residents a chance to take action against any problems which the town may be facing. It will allow the attendees to hear how the police, councils and others are working together to make the area safer.

The meeting will take place at the Edenbridge Centre on Tuesday 10 August at 10.30am. There is no need to book in advance, just turn up on the day.

Cllr Elaine Bracken, Sevenoaks District Council's Cabinet member with responsibility for community safety, says: "These PACT meetings have proved popular in all areas of the District. They allow local authorities and the community to work together to resolve matters important to our residents."
