Sevenoaks District residents can sign up for the latest free electronic wildlife gardening newsletter.
The Go Wild newsletter, which is produced in partnership with North West Kent Countryside Partnership, brings hints and tips on how to attract and protect local wildlife, it also contains local and national news on endangered and rare species.
The winter 2010 newsletter, which will be sent by e-mail to reduce the use of paper, is available to school, community groups and individuals. Newsletters will also be available on the Council's website and for anyone who does not have an e-mail address or access to the internet can have copies sent by post.
The newsletters supports the Council's aims to maintain and improve access to the countryside and conserve the natural and built heritage by giving advice and information on supporting wildlife throughout the year.
The North West Kent Countryside Partnership operates in the Sevenoaks, Bexley and Gravesham council areas. It works to conserve and enhance the wildlife, landscape and cultural heritage of the countryside.
Cllr Avril Hunter, Sevenoaks District Council’s Cabinet member with responsibility for sustainable development, says: "This latest newsletter offers the District’s many nature lovers and avid gardeners with a wealth of tips and advice that will benefit themselves and local wildlife.”
