Electors who live in the 'Town' ward of Sevenoaks Town Council will soon have the opportunity to elect a new face to the Council.
Electors can vote in the by-election in person at The Plaza suite in The Stag Community Arts Centre and at St. Luke’s Church Hall on Thursday 2 September 2010 between 7am to 10pm.
Alternatively those who wish to apply to vote by post have until 5pm on 17 August to do so.
Only those people whose names are included on the register of electors are entitled to vote. Anyone who believes they may not be on the register should contact the Council as soon as possible. The deadline for registering to vote is also 17 August.
Voter registration forms are available to download at www.sevenoaks.gov.uk/elections.
Shortly before the by-election takes place, a poll card will be delivered to electors in the Sevenoaks Town Council 'Town' ward detailing which polling station they should attend.
The names of the candidates standing in the by-election will be confirmed after 12 noon on Thursday 5 August 2010

Postal and proxy voting
Residents who wish to apply for a postal vote or a proxy vote (that is appointing someone to vote on your behalf) have until 5pm on 17 August to submit a postal vote application and 5pm on 24 August to submit a proxy application.
