A pilot project aimed at changing attitudes to drinking among young people and supporting retailers to reduce sales of alcohol to underage drinkers has had a number of successes since its launch in Edenbridge earlier this year.
The KCAP programme, which stands for Kent Community Alcohol Partnership, was launched on March 24 at the Co-Op in Edenbridge.

Successes arising from the KCAP programme include:
Robin Hales, Chairman of the Sevenoaks District Council Community Safety Partnership, says: "We are delighted to be involved in the KCAP project. By working with our partners we can change young people's attitudes towards alcohol, curb underage drinking and the problems that can be associated with it."
KCAP is supported by Sevenoaks District Community Safety Partnership and run by KCC Trading Standards.
Funding of £24,000 was secured from the Home Office for the project and was spent on police operations, licensing, detached youth work, publicity material and education and support packages and training for retail owners.
