Young people in Edenbridge can ‘Jump-in’ again!

News release issued on 01 June 2009

Young people from Edenbridge will be able to party with a difference again later this month, when a popular event returns to the town.

The second Edenbridge ‘Jump-In’ pool party takes place on Saturday 27 June at Edenbridge Leisure Centre from 6pm to 8pm. This follows the success of the first pool party in March which was a complete sell-out.

Exclusively for eight to 14 year olds, the pool party features DJ Ignition playing all the latest tunes, and plenty of cool and fun stuff to play with in the pool.

Tickets cost just £5 and are available from Edenbridge Leisure Centre. However places are limited, and following the success of the last event, it is advised to buy tickets early.

Young people will have the pool all to themselves and the café at the Leisure Centre will also be open with special offers for parents and guardians who want to stay.

Cllr Pat Bosley, Sevenoaks District Council Cabinet member with responsibility for healthy living, says: "If the last pool party is anything to go by, then I'm sure this will be another great success! Young people seem to love the combination of the pool and the music, so if you don't want to miss out, get your ticket now!"

This initiative has been organised by Sevenoaks District Council in partnership with Sencio Community Leisure and is funded by NHS West Kent as part of the National Choosing Health agenda, which aims to make healthy choices easier.

To book tickets in advance, contact Edenbridge Leisure Centre by calling 01732 865665, or for more information on the event call Sevenoaks District Council on 01732 227000.
