To mark the launch of the Copenhagen climate summit this week, Sevenoaks District Council has re launched its climate change section on its website.
The new comprehensive section sets out the science of climate change, how residents can calculate their carbon footprint and what they can do to tackle the problem, for example by saving energy and using renewable energy. It also sets out what society will need to do to adapt to climate change in the years ahead.
To view the new climate change section visit www.sevenoaks.gov.uk/climatechange.
Cllr Carol Clark, Sevenoaks District Council Cabinet member with responsibility for Climate Change issues, says: "We all have a duty to reduce our carbon emissions to help tackle the serious challenge of climate change. Anyone who would like to know how to make a positive difference to this problem can visit our website to find out more."
The new section went live yesterday (Monday 7 December 2009).
