Young people across the District can now relive a record breaking summer at the click of a button.
Nearly 1,500 young people attended Sevenoaks District Council's free 'In the Zone' summer programme making it the most successful year on record.
Now hundreds of photos, from all 24 days and 21 locations, along with a diary of each week are available to view on the Council's website by visiting the young people's section of the Council website.
In total 1,428 young people attended the five themed weeks - Sports, Make It, Challenge, Performing Arts and Party - and took part in a wide range of activities from football coaching to skate-boarding, from art and crafts to t-shirt designing, from a poetry workshop to a kids go-kart grand prix!
As well as the themed events on offer there were a whole range of other activities available each day, including circus skills, arts and crafts, face painting, team games and sports, all under the expert eye of the Youth Zone trained staff.
Cllr Felicity Broomby, Sevenoaks District Council member with responsibility for young people's issues, says: "Five weeks is a long time to keep young people entertained, but it seems that it wasn't a problem this summer, despite a mixed bag of weather! I've been along to the 'In the Zone' program and know how popular it is, and its no surprise to me that this year broke all records, so well done to everyone involved for making it such a success."
The 'In the Zone' summer program started on Monday 30 July at Halstead Recreation Ground and took place every week day (except August Bank Holiday) from 11am to 3.30pm, ending on Friday 31 August at Stangrove Park in Edenbridge.
