News release issued on 28 August 2007

New Ash Green residents have the chance to discuss any local concerns and receive crime prevention advice from their local PCSO's next month.

The PCSO surgery will take place from 10.30am to 12noon on Saturday 1 September at the Village Association Offices, Centre Road in New Ash Green, when the two PCSO's for New Ash Green - Charlotte Maycock and Laura Horn, will both be on hand to speak to local people.

Robin Hales, Chairman of the Sevenoaks District Community Safety Partnership, says: "Although the District is the safest in Kent, as a Partnership we are continually looking at ways to make people feel even safer in their local communities. These measures will I am sure do this, and help ensure the area remains a desirable place to live."

It includes representatives from Kent Police, Sevenoaks District Council, Kent County Council, Kent Probation Service, Youth Offending Service, local health providers, housing associations, the voluntary sector and Kent Fire & Rescue Service.

PCSO surgeries are held monthly in the area at the Village Association, and will also take place on 6 October, 3 November, 1 Dec, 5 January, 2 February and 1 March, each running between 10am and 12noon.
