Background on the SNAP Club Nights for Young People
The SNAP nights are run by Sevenoaks District Council in partnership with local police, youth workers and those working
to promote awareness about drugs, alcohol and smoking.
SNAP is a cigarette, alcohol and drugs free club night for 11 to 16 year olds, where clubbers are searched on entry, so young people are able to dance all night in a friendly and safe environment.
SNAP is held at the Sevenoaks Community Centre, Crampton's Road, Sevenoaks. The events start at 7.00pm and finish at 10.30pm.
These events are always packed!
We advise clubbers to buy tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.

SNAP is part of the Crimestoppers national campaign against drug related crime and encourages young people to be aware of the risks associated with legal and illegal drugs and alcohol and to phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 with any information on drug related crime.
More information about how to report crime and what Crimestoppers are doing can be found on the Crimestoppers website.
More info about these nights can be found on the current SNAP page or by contacting the Youth Development section.
New Term - Another SNAP Club Night- Saturday 22 September 2007
DJ Ignition, Lauren Rose and Limited Edition took to the stage at the latest SNAP club Party at Sevenoaks Communtiy Centre.
Lauren Rose came on stage to perform a real mix of tunes - romantic love songs mixed with D.I.S.C.O fever including dancers with flares and afro wigs for her last number! Many clubbers queued after her set to meet her and get an autograph too.
DJ Ignition kept the party going by playing the best R&B, Chart, Dance and Party tunes and loads of messages were posted on the board - Did you meet any new friends that night?
Ben and Simon from Limited Edition came to the stage fresh from another engagement and ready to perform. They sang
two songs including funky track 'Innocent', which tells an everyday story about relationships, but with it's R&B vocals over Urban Garage beats this isn't your ordinary boyband!
The lads were well recieved by the girls in the crowd and had many photos to sign at the end of the night!
Swanley Alexandra Suite Thursday 31st May
Clubbers who came to the Swanley SNAP party on 31 May had a wicked night - the message board was teeming with messages and almost everyone had a number - even most of the staff! Glow sticks, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, hairbands, ears and rings were everywhere - the DJ probably didn't need all those lights!
DJ Ignition was on fine form - laying down all the best tunes including a couple of cheeky drum and bass remixes to keep the crowd happy!
One lucky clubber won an MP3 player by entering a quiz set up by Kent Fire and Rescue services and plenty of sweets were chomped by clubbers playing games and chatting to the Grey Zebra Team.
KCC Youth Serivce were also there - shutting the youth club on that night to let their hair down and party with the rest of us!
Our two fabulous PA's sang a mix of their latest tunes - don't forget you can check out their tunes and write them messages on their myspace pages.
Marc's debut single, 'Sail With Me' is a catchy heart felt pop track with soaring strings and a solid beat that compliments Marc's vocal talent - it'll have you singing along in no time! Living in Kent, he has been into music since he was very young, plays seven different instruments and counts Joss Stone as a family friend.
Kelly Pepper hails from Bexleyheath and at 17 says she is going to be taking over the music industry in a brand new fashion! She is influenced by Christina Aguilera, Natasha Bedingfield and Whitney Houston and wants to be able to make a difference with her music.
It was our Birthday! We had a Party! - The Valentines Event - Saturday 17 February 22007
We had another great time at SNAP - we booked London's Kiss 100 DJ Fidget Kid to do a special one hour DJ set - and he played all the best R&B and urban tracks with DJ Ignition picking up the gauntlet and laying down some party tunes and slow numbers to get you all in the mood for a Valentine party!
There were hearts and cupids all over the place and our Valentine gifts went flying out the Re-energise Refreshment Bar!
Everywhere you looked there were groups of girls and lads clutching silk red roses and wearing those furry heart shaped headboppers again! We went glow crazy too with bracelets, rings, earrings and pendants on sale and you made the dancefloor light up!
Hundreds of valentine notes were posted on the message board and I'm sure lots of clubbers made loads of new mates that night!
SNAP has been run in Sevenoaks since 1999 and this event was our 8th Birthday Party! Almost 6000 clubbers have come to SNAP in that time, with more and more people coming in the last couple of years.
Oops, You Did it Again - The Christmas Party Sell Out! - Saturday 16 December
We had Santa Hats, loads of tinsel, mini Christmas trees and loads of glowing stuff to help get the Christmas Party started! Resident DJ Ignition played all your favourite new and Christmas Party tunes and we had two live performances on stage.
Lady Lee - a 15 year old MC from Gillingham came down and gave a wicked performance on stage and then gave out glowsticks, bracelets and other cool stuff to the crowd to help promote the FRANK campaign.
R&B crew DE-A-CO gave an ice cool performance with a mix of smooth R&B and some phat UK beats. DE-A-CO are Deon, Ezra, AD and Curtis - they donned Santa hats and got into the festive spirit when signing autographs for loads of lucky clubbers.
We also had the Message Board and workshops and information from Kent Fire Authority, Sevenoaks KCC Detached Project and Grey Zebra.
Fresh and Funky - Another huge SELL OUT!
It was another wicked night at SNAP on 30th September - CLubbers were fresh from the Summer Break and ready to PARTY!
Tickets sold out almost a week before the night and desperate parents and young people were contacting the promoter all week to see if any tickets had become available!
It was probably something to do with the cool bands on offer this time - we had urban Sisters Chase Mo grooving to sweet RnB flavas and cute boyband US 5 giving it their all to the crowd.
Don't forget those ladiez and gentz from the EZ Stepz Hip Hop and R&B Dance Crew who stormed the dancefloor with their killer dance moves!
News of US 5 had travelled far - 3 girls flew over from Germany just for SNAP and to see them perform! Another two German girls were camped outside the venue at 3.00pm and all 5 girls stayed out all night waiting to get a ticket for the sold out event! Eventually the girls got inside once other clubbers had left and got to see their favourite band!
These events are what you make them - tell your mates and get them to bring their mates too - this is your Party - come and enjoy it!! SNAP is probably the best U16s Club Event in West Kent -it is a place where young people can dance with all their mates and make new friends.

Grey Zebra is a youth outreach project delivering alcohol and drugs education to young ppeople in their own environment. Their aim is to reduce drug use by young people on their own ground, to create a space that is acceptable to them and to permit them to make enquiries and express their opinions in a non-threatening environment.
Feedback from young people has been really positive over the years and we have taken their views into account wherever possible when planning the events. The team behind the events work hard to provide the best possible atmosphere for young people in the area and are always willing to listen to any suggestions for improvements or changes.
