Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, we had a great time, SNAP Sevenoaks says thank you!Clubbers at SNAP Valentines Party 2008

Apologies for the cheesy rhyme but we wanted to say thanks for a great night on Saturday! Around 140 clubbers came down to the Community Centre to celebrate Valentines night - Our silk roses were flying out of the RE-Energise Bar and girls and boys alike were clutching them on the dancefloor. The message board was busy as ever with several people getting poetic with rhymes and poems adorning the heart post-its! Heart headboppers were everywhere and loads of you were on the dancefloor all night!

Three piece girl group Stonefoxx performed three songs onstage including catchy tunes 'Here come all the Boys' and 'Pop Music', reviving the funky 80s classic of the same name. Currently working on their debut album with writers behind songs for Sugababes, All Saints & Kylie, Stonefoxx are excited about whStonefoxxat happens next especially with tracks in the pipeline written with two of the UK's biggest songwriters.

Sevenoaks Detached Youth Project and Kent Fire and Rescue Service had displays in the Chill Out room and one lucky clubber won a £20 Argos voucher for taking part in a quiz about Fire Awareness. Volunteers from VSU Youth in Action were also in the lobby area with their Glow Bar - raising money for the organisation. They were selling glow ears, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings and glowsticks and helped make the dancefloor light up!

There was a brilliant mix of tunes from DJ Ignition - loads of them had videos to accompany the music too - Soulja Boy Tellem, Rhianna, Basshunter, H Two O and Scouting for Girls were just some of the tunes on the dancefloor - we even had some classics requested with clubbers dancing to Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson towards the end of the night!

Follow this link to see the photos - We even got our Red Cross Team, Safe and Sound Event Security Team, Youth Workers and Council Team to get their photos taken (Our Police Officers were still working outside at this point so no photos of them this time.) Check them out!

Ghostt - Fresh from X Factor Bootcamp Join us for the Xmas Party!

The SNAP Christmas PartySanta hats were everywhere at the Christmas Party! DJ Ignition got the party started and Street Vetirans and Ghostt took over the stage to perform some of their best tracks.

Everyone was in the party mood and were still dancing at 10.30 to the last of the Christmas party classics!

1st on stage Street Vetiransperformance and took the place by storm! With 4 or 5 tracks jammed into 15 minutes of stage time, they gave clubbers a wicked show and finished with their take on a Christmas Classic - Merry Gentlemen!

The lads signed a pile of mix CDs for eager clubbers after their gig and definitely have loads more fans in the Sevenoaks District now!

This years favourites from the X Factor Bootcamp, Ghostt were surprisingly turned down by Simon Cowell when he choose groups to Ghosttsupport for the ITV show. We don't know why because they gave a brilliant performance for our Christmas Party!

Choosing to sing a mix of smooth RnB and sultry love songs there was something for everyone and there were loads of camera phones pointing towards the stage to catch every moment!

They promised us that 2008 will be the year for Ghostt so keep your eyes wide open for news of them hitting the headlines!

Loads of clubbers entered the competitions in the chill out room and two lucky clubbers walked away with the prizes - a Creative Zen 2GB Mp3 player for completing a questionnaire about bullying for the Council and a £20 Argos card for completing the fire awareness quiz from Kent Fire and Rescue.

Results from both of these help us to plan future work in the area and make sure you stay informed about important issues.

The message board was up and busy as usual - loads of festive messages being posted all night long!

Refreshments, glow sticks, glow jewellery and Santa hats were flowing out of the Re-Energise Bar and I reckon everyone had a party to remember. Ghostt
