Investor in People status

Investors In People Gold logoSevenoaks District Council is committed to the development of its staff to meet its aim of improving the services it delivers to the community. To this end, the Council has achieved the Investors in People ‘Gold’ status.

Investors in People is the nationally recognised standard which is awarded to organisations that are committed to supporting the training and development needs of their staff to achieve their business goals and ensure staff are involved and empowered to fulfil their role to the best of their ability.

The Council is assessed every three years and has held 'Investor in People' status since 1997.

The assessment last took place in November 2009, when the Council was awarded the 'Investor in People ‘Gold’ standard.

Under Investors in People ‘New Choices’, organisations can be assessed against the basic standard, or they can ask to be assessed against the bronze, silver or, for the very best, gold standard.

Sevenoaks District Council asked to be measured against the Gold standard and met all 139 criteria that it was assessed against.
