There is no Council housing in the Sevenoaks District as the Council transferred its housing stock to West Kent Housing Association in 1989. There is very high demand for all Housing Association properties in the Sevenoaks District and most applicants registered with Kent Homechoice will wait a long time before they are offered a home.
The Social Housing Team can help you explore other housing options to help you find a home in the short or longer term in a Housing Options Assessment interview. They can also give you advice on your rights and choices if you are or think you will become homeless.
You can get immediate advice during office hours by telephoning the Duty Officer in the Social Housing Team on 01732 227000 or by e-mailing housing@sevenoaks.gov.uk. The Social Housing Team also offer face to face appointments to discuss problems but you should telephone the Duty Officer first for a preliminary assessment before coming into the Council offices. To enable us to give you accurate advice, you will be asked to provide specific details about your circumstances and in some cases you will need to provide evidence of your situation.
